Chris Brown responds to Punk's video...
UPDATE: Singer and actor Chris Brown has replied to the video C.M. Punk posted Tuesday night. He says he misses "real wrestlers,"and then listed Hacksaw Duggan, Bret Hart, Koko B. Ware, and Roddy Piper.
Brown went on and tweeted: "The video u just posted was cute! It's so funny how defensive u are. And the fact that I really don't know who you are and could give a s--- is the funny part! I really hope this 15 minutes of fame is paying you for the long run becuz music last forever! Wrestlers come and go according to ratings!"
WWE has been capitalizing on the mainstream attention this feud has received, and their most recent attempt was by referring to it throughout the Tuesday night's live Smackdown episode.
ORIGINAL: Here's a video CM Punk posted to Twitter, responding to Chris Brown's referring to him as a steroid user and talking about Brown's abuse of Rihanna three years back. He says that he doesn't believe Brown has paid for what he's done and challenges him to "put some gloves on and get in the ring" so Punk can choke him out and "make you feel as weak and as powerless and as scared and alone" as any woman who's been abused:
I know Punk says he doesn't want to be a role model, but the way he address the whole situation is nothing but utter class.

No one is condoning Tyson's actions. The difference between a Mike Tyson and a Chris Brown is that Tyson showed remorse. It's quite clear through his interviews that he regrets his actions and they eat him up inside.
Chris Brown plays the victim. Look at the title of his most recent CD. Look at the fact that he feels all of this should be set aside simply because he won a couple of Grammys. Chris Brown has not shown one ounce of regret.
And really, what's the point of mentioning Tyson? Just because a second guy did the same wrong thing it doesn't make the first guy look any better. People should stop passing the buck and face reality.
Chris Brown's reality is one where hitting women is okay as long as you do a little community service and put out music that enough people like. That is, in fact, a painfully psychotic fantasy.
No, Punk didn't have to say anything. But don't pretend that his decision to respond was in anyway a bad idea.

Looking at the tale of the tape if they were to fight, I'd give the advantage to Punk. First, Punk trains in Muy Thai and Jiu Jitsu. Second, though they do not make full contact and they do not intend to hurt each other, Punk takes a physical beating 300 days a year. Physically they are pretty even, though I'd give the strength advantage to Punk as well as a stamina advantage to Punk. While it's doubtful they actually will fight, if they were I'd bet on Punk. Though in a fight anything can happen.
I agree with Punk in that I don't think Brown was punished like he should be, he should have spent some real time in jail, but no celebrity does the jail time they should.

This is stupid as hell I'm a big fan of Punk not a fan of Chris Brown music but this is just beating a dead horse. CM Punk is NOT GOD so therefore he can not cast stones at Chris its been 3 years already LET IT GO for goodnes sakes' geez. As far as we know he's STOPPED as far...as we know if he does it again then damn it start hating his ass again.BUT people we all make mistakes and that includes PUNK himself he's proving he's really that judgemental asshole he played when he was leader of the straight edge society. Again Chris hasn't done anything since and anyone who feels a certain way about it needs to STFU.I mean leave the F'N kid alone already DAMN!

That is EXACTLY the problem. Chris Brown beats a woman the way he did and we are just supposed to "forget" and "move on"? This is the reason our country is as messed up as it is, we "let slide" FAR too much now. NOONE is held to a standard of PERSONAL responsibility for their actions. Punk did NOT scream and shout, nor did he "cut a promo" on Chris Brown. He merely RESPONDED to accusations against one of HIS core beliefs. Much in the same way ANYONE that actually HAS beliefs would.

To any BLACK fan who actually watched back then, KoKo was a MAJOR fan favorite. Why didn't you mention the fact that he said Hacksaw? He was popular because of cheat face pops (USA chants) and his fucking finishing move was a 3 point stance clothesline. Ko Ko was actually a fucking ATHLETE in the ring. He could actually DROP KICK you and land on his feet, but he got stuck with a ridiculous gimmick and was never really treated as a real "threat". Hacksaw was friends with Hogan, so he had major feuds and got TV time. Didn't win a title in the "big two" until Hogan used his influence to put him over STEVE AUSTIN in WCW for the US title, but you get mad because Chris Brown mentions Ko Ko Beware...I fucking hate wrestling fans some times...

This is the problem with America, and why shit like abuse of women continues to happen. Because people, like Kyle, forgive too damn easy! I love what CM Punk said and what he stands for. If anyone calls him a judgmental asshole, it's because they must do a lot of shady crap. The only people that use that term are people who have something to hide or be ashamed of. I hope Punk somehow gets his hands on Chris Brown. I like how Brown says music lasts forever and wrestlers come and go. Funny thing, because I've never heard of the guy or any of his music. The only reason I even know his name is because he beat up that poor excuse for a woman, Rhianna. Chris Brown should be beaten by several people, not just CM Punk.

No one is condoning Tyson's actions. The difference between a Mike Tyson and a Chris Brown is that Tyson showed remorse. It's quite clear through his interviews that he regrets his actions and they eat him up inside.
Chris Brown plays the victim. Look at the title of his most recent CD. Look at the fact that he feels all of this should be set aside simply because he won a couple of Grammys. Chris Brown has not shown one ounce of regret.
And really, what's the point of mentioning Tyson? Just because a second guy did the same wrong thing it doesn't make the first guy look any better. People should stop passing the buck and face reality.
Chris Brown's reality is one where hitting women is okay as long as you do a little community service and put out music that enough people like. That is, in fact, a painfully psychotic fantasy.
No, Punk didn't have to say anything. But don't pretend that his decision to respond was in anyway a bad idea.
Now please, stop belaboring the point and join those of us who recognize what a piece of human garbage Chris Brown is in the real world.

Hey Ron, let's be clear on a few things:
First, I am under no impression that Chris Brown is anything more than a piece of shit second rate R&B singer who beat Rihanna's face until it looked like hamburger meat. That said, CM Punk seems awfully tough challenging an R&B singer to a fight when there are plenty of athletes that beat their wives/girlfriends and he's never uttered a word. I used Tyson as an example simply because Tyson is going to be around for Wrestlemania weekend so if ever there was a time to step up it's then. Others have brought up Austin who not only beat up Debra, but also has a history of domestic abuse with other wives and girlfriends, yet CM Punk can look past it. If you want another example, in 2010 former UFC fighter Tito Ortiz beat up his wife Jenna Jameson. Where was Punk? Did he tweet how he would like to curbstomp Tito? Did Punk make a video challenging him to a real fight? I'm unaware of Tito issuing an apology, but then again Chris Brown did apologize and he was forgiven by Rihanna, but CM Punk still felt like he had to call him out because of the way he acts. If Punk said something when the story first broke a couple of years ago, my position would be different as I would understand the outrage. However, Punk chooses now to say something only because Chris Brown is in the news and Punk wants to be socially relevant. What's the point of issuing a challenge to fight someone if you know they'll never accept? Whether you like Chris Brown or hate him, Punk started this by talking shit first so I would hardly call him a stand up guy.
